Bridal Shower Thank You Card Etiquette

Bridal Shower Etiquette!
If you are throwing a Bridal Shower then as the host you will want to make sure that you follow the correct Etiquette code and rules. Etiquette refers to the ceremonial code of polite society. Obviously things have changed in modern times but, just like weddings, there are still rules of etiquette for Showers.

Bridal Shower Thank You Card Etiquette - Theme!
Consider the theme of the occasion and extend the theme used on the invitations through to the thank you cards or notes. Decide whether you  want to adopt a Formal or Informal style thank you card and whether the 'look' should be modern or traditional. The colors and graphics used on the Bridal Shower Thank You should also complement the theme of the party. And finally decide on the type or format of your thank you cards - whether they should be Postcard style thank you notes or folded notelet thank you cards.

Bridal Shower Thank You Card Etiquette - Top Tips!

  • Try to remember that a thank you letter or note doesn't need to be long or too in depth.

  • Be sincere and write the letter as if you were the one receiving it. Read through the examples below for some help and inspiration!

  • Send your thank you notes within one to two weeks after your Bridal shower. It is advisable to send thank you letters as soon as possible, definitely something you shouldn't put off! Send thank you letters before the wedding as you simply will not have any time afterwards and will be busy writing thank you notes for wedding gifts!

  • Be specific when writing thank you letters. Perhaps the gift isn't to your liking or taste, be polite and remember that it is the thought that counts! Be specific and comment of the gift as well as mentioning the guest by name.

  • If you are unable to send thank you letters because you are simply too busy with wedding plans then ask your Bridal shower host or your husband-to-be/partner to write your thank you notes for you.

  • Avoid making general remarks with your thank you notes. Remarks such as "Thanks" or  "Thanks for the gift" or mentioning money or gift cards / certificates, duplicate gifts are not recommended. Asking for the receipt so you can exchange the gift is also not acceptable.
